Information we receive
Rent Repair Guide is primarily a static reading site. We do not require an account, login, checkout or public comment profile to browse the guide library. When you visit, your browser and hosting provider may still process ordinary technical information such as an IP address, device type, browser type, requested page, referring page and approximate time of access. This information is normally handled in server logs or security systems rather than collected as a personal profile by Rent Repair Guide.
If you email us, we receive the address you use, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. Please avoid sending passwords, government identifiers, payment information, access codes or detailed personal tenancy records unless they are genuinely necessary for your question.
How we use information
We use contact messages to reply to editorial questions, investigate broken links, review correction requests, improve accessibility and maintain the site's safety and reliability. We may use aggregated, non-identifying information about page requests or broken links to understand which parts of the library need attention.
We do not sell personal information, use contact messages to build a mailing list or ask for sensitive information as a condition of using the guides. If a message raises an immediate safety concern, we may suggest contacting emergency services or the relevant building manager; we are not an emergency-response channel.
Site operation
The current site is a static reading library. It has no account system, public comments or on-site contact form. The hosting provider, security service, font provider and linked image or source services may process ordinary connection data when their resources are requested, under their own policies.
Links and external services
Guides may link to public sources, image hosts, government information and safety organizations. Following an external link takes you to a different service with its own privacy practices, terms and retention rules. Rent Repair Guide does not control those services and cannot guarantee how they handle your visit.
Retention and security
We keep editorial emails and correction correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, document a content decision or protect the site's operation. We may retain a minimal record of a correction or source decision without keeping unnecessary personal details.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We use ordinary access controls and avoid requesting sensitive information, but you should remove unnecessary personal details before emailing us.
Your choices
You can read the site without registering. You can choose not to email us, block optional third-party requests in your browser and stop following external links. If you contact us, you may ask what information from your message we still hold, request a correction or ask us to delete correspondence when there is no continuing editorial or legal reason to retain it.
Because privacy rights vary by location, we will handle reasonable requests in good faith and may need to verify that a request relates to the person who sent the message.
